Red Ribbed Zigzag Twist Cast Resin Sculpture, 125cm, a ribbed red-to-clear ribbon form on a black base, shown against a plain light background.
Red Ribbed Zigzag Twist Cast Resin Sculpture - 125cm $5,21400
Description

One ribbon of red resin climbs in a zigzag from a single foot in this cast sculpture, swinging out wide, doubling back across itself and swinging out again before it finishes in a narrow upright curl at the top. Ribs run the length of the ribbon, close and even. The red runs deepest in the foot and wherever the ribbon turns, and it fades through rose to a pale, rosy clear across the open faces of each sweep. A squared black marble base is supplied beneath it.

A Red Ribbon Doubling Back as It Climbs

Red gives the zigzag real energy. Each change of direction is marked by a band of deeper colour where the ribbon turns, so the eye reads the turns first and the open faces second. The ribs are fine and regular and follow the ribbon through every bend, bunching at the turns and fanning across the faces, where they trace pale lines over the rosy clear. The narrow curl at the top finishes the movement with a flick, like the end of a brushstroke, and the black marble block below gives all that movement a firm, dark full stop.

At 125cm on its block the curl stands at about chest height for most adults, which makes it floor work for a hall, a reception area or the corner of a large room, with enough space around it for the wide first sweep. Keep it out of the line of a door. Red brings heat to a white or grey interior and stands out strongly against charcoal, navy or deep green walls. A raking side light finds every rib, and light from behind makes the clear faces glow a soft rose.

Red Tint, the Sweeps and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. On commission the red can be made deeper, towards garnet, or brighter, towards scarlet, and the clear parts kept or replaced by an even tint. The three sweeps can be spaced further apart for a more open zigzag or drawn closer for a tighter one, and the piece can be scaled up for a lobby. White or grey marble may replace the black of the block. It is moved by the foot alone; the curl and the tips of the sweeps are never used as handles. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A red ribbon zigzagging up from a single foot to an upright curl takes its place with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
