Red-Orange Furled Leaf Resin Sculpture on Marble, 102cm, with ribbed fan and curling blade forms on a black base, set against a plain white background.
Red-Orange Furled Leaf Resin Sculpture on Marble - 102cm $4,14600
Description

One stem, two furls: this cast resin sculpture rises from a single foot into a broad fan on one side and a climbing blade on the other, the blade turning back on itself in a curl at its top, with a clear wing flung out at mid-height. Both are latticed in raised, crossing ribs. The colour is a vivid red-orange, a true red at the foot and in the edges of each sheet, thinning to salmon and then to clear wherever the resin opens out. It is delivered with its own black marble block.

Red-Orange Furls With a Raised Lattice

A colour this strong needs the lattice to stop it reading as a solid block. The crossing ribs break the red-orange into small facets, each one catching its own highlight, so the colour flickers rather than sits. At the foot the red is dense and saturated; up through the sheets it thins to salmon and a pink-tinged clear, and the ribs carry a fine red line across the clear parts, which keeps the outline of every furl drawn even where the colour has gone. The blade's curl and the fan's rim end in red edges, framing the piece like a flame.

At 102cm on its marble block it is made for the floor, where it draws the eye from across a room: in an entrance, a stairwell or a gallery space, wherever it is met head on. It warms a white, grey or charcoal scheme at once, and it holds its own against dark timber, black steel and deep green planting. Give it a plain wall behind and light from one side; in strong sun the clear parts glow a pale coral.

Colour, Lattice and Taking Delivery

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The red-orange can be pushed to a deep crimson or eased towards amber, and the gradient made sharper or softer between the foot and the clear tips. Made to order, the lattice can be widened, tightened or replaced by a smooth polished skin, and the curl at the top can be rolled further over. Besides this black marble, the block comes in white or grey. Hands go round the bottom of the stem to lift it, never round the blade, the curl or the broad fan, all of which are thin at the edges. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Red at the foot and clear at the tips, these two latticed furls on black marble sit well beside our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
