A red ribbon sweeps along above a black slab, rising from a single foot into a broad wing at one end and a curling tendril at the other, with colourless tendrils threading through it and curling out beyond. The red is a single saturated band that twists as it runs, and the tendrils pass through the openings it leaves rather than round them, one of them closing into a ring. The slab beneath runs the full length of the piece.
Two colours in one body can be laid side by side, which is straightforward, or threaded through one another, which is not. Here the colourless tendrils enter the red on one side and come out on the other, so at every crossing there is a boundary that has to be clean in three dimensions rather than two. A smear at a crossing reads as a stain in the red; a gap reads as a bubble. On this piece every crossing is clean, the clear running into the red and out again with nothing clouding the meeting, so the eye can follow each tendril straight through. The red is deepest where the ribbon folds back on itself and lighter where it stretches thin across the wing, which gives the one colour a range of tones.
It is longer than it is tall and it sits low, so it is read across rather than up. A long console, a sideboard or a low run of cabinets gives it the length it needs and the low sight line it wants. On a high shelf it becomes a red line and the threading disappears entirely. It needs little depth, but it should have clear space at both ends rather than behind, since the wing and the curling tendril reach out to the very ends of the slab.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The clear tendrils pass through the red body and come out the far side, so neither can look as though it was added to the other afterwards. The red is taken to an amber, the tendrils are drawn longer, and the slab is cut to other lengths. The number of crossings is set at order, and fewer of them makes a calmer object than the tint change does. It travels flat in one long case with the tendrils sleeved individually and the slab beneath, and it is lifted by the slab and set down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Clear threaded through red is organic sculpture in two colours at once; both are resin sculpture; and a long low piece suits indoor sculpture.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
