Red & Brown Interlocking Lobed Resin Table Set of Two, 110cm, with irregular lobed tops fitted together, shown on a plain white background.
Red & Brown Interlocking Lobed Resin Table Set of Two - 110cm $7,15500
Description

Two low tables make up this set, one in a deep translucent red and one in a dark smoky brown, each on an irregular lobed plan so that they fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. Each is cast hollow with a flat top and a vertical side worked into a fine texture, and no lobe repeats another, so the two can be pushed together or set apart.

A Lobed Plan Cast at a Thin Wall

The lobed plan is modelled into the mould so no two lobes match, and the vertical side is textured over its whole height while the top is worked flat in the upper face. Casting it hollow around a plan with this many changes of direction is the difficult part: the wall has to hold its thickness through every lobe, and a thin patch at a turn shows as a bright mark. The tint is carried through the body rather than applied, so a cut edge is the same colour as a face. The bottom edge is faced flat right round the outline.

Pushed together, the two make one low table for a seating group with no straight edge anywhere, and drawn apart they serve two separate chairs. The textured side is read from a seated position and the flat top from standing. Being cast hollow, each moves easily for its size, so the pair can be rearranged without help.

The Lobes, the Textured Side, and the Two Tints

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Most of it is the lobed outline. At order, three things are open. The price is for the pair. Either piece can be cast in the other tint, or both in one, and the sides can be left smooth instead of textured. You give the lobe width and the wall depth. The two pieces are textured to the same depth. The lobed edges and textured sides are boxed clear of the crate walls, and each hollow piece weighs far less than a solid one of its plan would. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two lobed tables fitting together like puzzle pieces belong with our organic sculptures; pushed together or apart they serve our art furniture, red and brown our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
