Red & Black Two Part Cast Resin Low Table - 160cm, an organic puzzle-shaped coffee table with translucent striated red resin and smooth opaque black sections, shown on a plain light background.
Red & Black Two Part Cast Resin Low Table - 160cm $7,15500
Description

The table is two interlocking sections that together make one irregular outline. Each is a closed organic form with a wandering edge, and the two edges are cut to match so the sections sit against each other without a gap. One is translucent red, its side carrying vertical striations that run the full depth; the other is opaque black and smooth on every face. Separated, each stands on its own.

Two Sections That Lock Together

One table in two parts, and the cut between them is the difficult work. Each section is a closed organic form with a wandering edge, and the two edges are cut to match along their whole length so the sections meet without a gap and without a visible tolerance. The contrast is then pushed as far as it will go: one section is translucent red with vertical striations running the full depth of its side, the other opaque black and smooth on every face, so the same geometry is read twice in completely different terms. Assembled they make a single unbroken outline. Separated they work as two tables, which is the practical reason for the split.

Pushed together, the two sections suit the middle of a wide seating group, and they can be split and used apart, which is what makes the table worth the floor it takes. Assembled it wants clear approach on the open side. The red section needs light through it and the black does not, so the assembled piece has a better orientation. Two people per section. Indoor use.

One Table in Two Parts

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. Most of it is the two sections. Three things are open at order. Either section is offered in a tint you name, so the two need not contrast at all. The assembled length is open, and a single section is priced on its own if only one is wanted. Both the assembled length and the overall height are yours to set. Put the whole order in at once and the tint of each section carries across every piece. Its crate is shaped round the interlocking edges of both sections, and four people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Red and black halves that lock into one outline belong with our art furniture; the split between glowing red and opaque black sits well with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and two sections for one sitting room belong to our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
