Red & Amber Scalloped Teardrop Loop Resin Sculpture - 250cm
Red & Amber Scalloped Teardrop Loop Resin Sculpture - 250cm $35,77400
Description

A teardrop-shaped loop of deep red and amber resin, standing upright on its rounded foot. The outer rim is thick and smooth, and it encloses a tall opening whose inner edge is cut into scallops, like the lip of a great shell, so the room shows through the middle. The red deepens at the foot and warms to amber in the upper curve.

A Red Teardrop Opened in the Middle

A loop this tall is a doorway as much as a sculpture, and the scalloped inner edge frames what is seen through it. The rim is kept thick and smooth on the outside, so the silhouette is simple and strong, and all the complexity is on the inside edge, where the scallops catch the light one by one. The colour is graded from deep red at the foot to amber at the top, which gives the form a warm glow as it rises. The foot is broad and rounded, so the loop stands steady on its own curve.

At 250cm it needs height and a view through it: an atrium, a lobby, the end of a long hall or a double-height living space, placed where the opening frames a window or a garden beyond. Sunlight behind it turns the red to fire. It is a centre-stage piece and wants clear space around it. It needs nothing beside it.

Colour, Height and Installing It

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. It can be cast in deep blue, green or clear as well as red and amber, and made to another height; the scallops can be cut deeper or kept shallow. Deep blue makes it read like a wave rather than a flame. The rim can be drawn finer or left heavier at order. It travels in a crate built around its curve, and a delivery crew with lifting equipment raises it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teardrop opened to the room belongs with our organic sculptures; red deepening to amber leads to our resin sculptures, and a loop to frame a garden view joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
