Red & Amber Breaking Wave Resin Sculpture, 82cm, on a black rectangular base, curling and cresting form in red, orange and amber tones, shown against a plain white background.
Red & Amber Breaking Wave Resin Sculpture - 82cm $2,29600
Description

Like a wave caught by a sunset, this resin piece burns deep red where the water is heaviest and warms through orange to amber along its crests. It rears into a hooked curl at one end, twists through a ring pierced by a single opening and flicks up a horn of spray, then sinks towards its marble base before climbing into a row of crests and stretching out to a long amber tip. The tint is in the resin itself, and the block comes with it.

Deep Red Warming to Amber at the Crests

Nowhere is the colour flat. At the foot of the curl and in the heavy folds over the marble it is a deep, glowing red; it passes through a fiery orange along the body, and on the crests and at both tips it turns to a clear amber with a touch of honey yellow. The tint is strong everywhere, so even the fine edges keep their warmth instead of turning clear. Smooth, glossy folds roll along the wave from end to end, and the black stone below makes the reds look richer still.

Its warm colouring suits a room of timber, leather and brass, and a broad console or a credenza gives its whole length the room it needs. Low evening sun or a lamp to one side sets the amber crests glowing, while a cream or stone-coloured wall behind keeps the reds clear and bright. Leave space at both ends for the curl and the amber tip. Indoor use only.

Colour Depth, Marble and the Crate

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The red can be pushed further towards crimson on commission, the amber carried further down the body, or the whole wave tinted a single warm colour, and a stone of your choosing can replace the black marble. Other lengths are possible as well. It is packed in a padded crate, the marble wrapped apart, and the casting is handled by its body alone, with both ends left untouched. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A red and amber wave rearing from a hooked curl to a far tip sits within our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
