A ball of red amber resin that deepens where the material is thickest, clearing to a warm glow across the open faces where it is thinnest. Each hollow winds past the other and the two meet along a single wall, so the piece reads as one ball that has been opened rather than as two halves set together. A slab of black marble lies beneath it and comes in the same order.
At this diameter the two scoops are deep enough to put a hand into, and that is where the red starts to work against the form. The scooped faces come out bright and the rim comes out almost black, so what you have is a dark outline holding two lit hollows, which is the opposite of how a plain ball of the same colour looks. It is the whole reason this cut is worth making in a strong red rather than a pale one, and the reason a red this deep on a plain solid would simply look heavy.
It works where something can be seen through it, because the thin parts are the bright parts and they need light behind them to fire. A window end, a console with a lamp beyond it, or an alcove lit from one side all suit. Set flat against a dark wall it holds its shape but loses the internal glow, which is most of what the piece has. Its 66cm height suits a broad sideboard or the top of a low cabinet, approached head on, where both scoops read at once.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The red is taken toward orange or deepened almost to black, the scoops are cut further round, and the stone is offered at other sizes. The cut itself can be drawn at other diameters on the same arrangement of stone, which is the alteration that changes it most, since the wall between the scoops does not scale in step with the ball. Frosting the surface instead of polishing it reverses the object entirely: it stops the light partway in and the graded red becomes a surface rather than a depth. The marble travels apart from the casting in its own case, and the ball is lifted by the outer curve with two hands rather than by the opening, which is the thinnest part of it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Two scoops winding past each other belong with our organic sculptures; red amber deepening toward the rims leads to our resin sculptures, and a ball that fires with light behind it joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
