Description

A mermaid reclines along the length of the panel, hair streaming behind her, drapery gathered across the hips and a scaled tail curling up to a broad fluted fin. A quarter-arch band springs from the right with a foliate rosette in the spandrel, and a plain moulded frame runs the whole way round.

The tail is the passage that decides the piece. Every scale is cut individually and graded so they shrink towards the fin, and the fluting in the fin itself is kept crisp while the flesh above it is worked up soft, so two finishes meet along one edge. The marble is white with fine grey veining threading diagonally through the ground, honed rather than polished so the light stays even across it.

A landscape panel suits a wall that is wider than it is tall: above a bath, over a long console, behind a headboard, along a pool room or in a garden room. It takes light from either side equally well, and it wants solid backing rather than a stud partition, with clear wall above so the arch is not crowded.

Six weeks. The ground and the arch are cut first and the figure raised from them afterwards, so the depth available for the tail is fixed before she is started and cannot be won back later. The width is made to your wall, the frame can be simplified to a plain margin, and the rosette can be left out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Around 455kg, crated flat, and it hangs on concealed plates bedded into masonry.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
