This chair is translucent deep purple resin: the back and the seat are one continuous rounded shell, and it stands on two side legs that flare down and out like runners rather than on four posts. The purple is glossy, deepest at the runners and clearest across the back. Every face is polished, the underside of the seat included, because a translucent chair is read through from any position in a room.
The shell is one moulding, back into seat, and no joint shows along it. The two runners are drawn out of the same body and their feet are finished flat and levelled together, because a chair on two runners rocks on any error that a chair on four legs would absorb. The purple is in the material and gathers with the section, so the runners read darkest and the back reads clearest. Both runner feet are polished on their undersides as well as their faces, because a chair that slides shows the underside of its feet every time it is moved.
At 83cm to the top of the shell this is a dining chair and runs in to a table like any other, though the runners mean it slides rather than lifts. The purple reads deepest at floor level, so on a pale floor the chair appears to sit in its own shadow. The runners spread the load, which suits a soft floor better than four points would.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the runner leg. You settle three things. The purple can be taken to another tint, the runners are drawn to order, and the shell can be brought higher at the back. You give the seat width and the back height. The group is made as one so that the depth of the purple through the shell reads the same on each piece. The shell rim goes in padded and the two runner feet are boxed clear, and two people carry it with a hand under each runner. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One purple shell on two runners gives our art furniture a dining chair; the shell sits with our organic sculptures, and the tinted casting with our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
