Purple & Clear S-Curve Wave Resin Sculpture, 75cm, shows an amethyst wave with clear fluted crest on a black marble base, set against a plain light background.
Purple & Clear S-Curve Wave Resin Sculpture - 75cm $1,68800
Description

In a deep amethyst purple, this wave snakes up from its base of black marble in two opposing curves. The root is a dense knot of curling water, with a lip turned out at one side and a few drops welling up beside it; from there the sheet arcs outward, folds back over the knot in a long beaded ribbon and finally rears up into a crest of fluted fingers. The fingers lengthen towards the top, each ending in a rounded pearl of resin. Purple fills the root and the ribbon, dusky and rich, and drains away up the crest until the fingertips are glass-clear.

Dusky Amethyst Clearing Up a Fan of Fingers

Purple darkens quickly with depth, so on this piece it is strongest exactly where the water is gathered most thickly: in the knot at the root, where it is almost plum, and along the inside of each curve. Over the ribbon it softens to a lilac haze, and in the crest it gives out altogether, leaving fingers of colourless resin that look like water flung up out of a dark sea. Long grooves run with the movement and catch a highlight along every ridge, and the cast surface is polished all over to a wet-looking shine.

Purple looks richest by lamplight, so think of a bedroom dresser, a lounge credenza or a shelf in a dressing room, somewhere lit warmly in the evening. Standing 75cm with its base, it suits a dresser or a credenza, lifting the fingertips to where the eye falls as you pass. Grey, silver and soft white surroundings flatter the amethyst, and a plain wall keeps the beaded edges crisp.

Amethyst Tone, Fingertips and the Journey

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. Your purple wave is sold singly, together with the black marble it stands on. To commission, the purple can be deepened to plum or lifted to lavender, the fingers left clear or tinted to their tips, and the pearls along the ribbon made fuller; a different stone can replace the marble. The wave is boxed in padding with its crest cushioned finger by finger and the base wrapped separately, and the two are put together when they arrive. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Dusky amethyst snaking from a knot of water into a fan of glass-clear fingers sits among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
