This stool is cast in graded, tinted resin. The form is chunky and soft cornered, and an oval aperture is cut clean through the mass just below the seat top, so the piece reads as a frame rather than a block. Four legs taper down from the corners in a squared section. The colour is graded: a pale mauve lilac across the top, warming through the body and running out to a clear amber at the feet.
The aperture is what the object is for. It is cut clean through the mass just under the seat, so the stool has no continuous body: from the front you look straight through it to the floor beyond, and from an angle the opening closes to a slot and the form reads solid again. That change happens within a couple of paces. The colour is graded down the height rather than across it, pale mauve at the top through to amber at the feet, and because the corners carry more material than the faces the gradient bunches at every corner and reads as a soft vertical stripe. Every stool grades at a different point.
At 45cm it serves as a seat at a low table, as a perch for a lamp beside a chair, or as an object in its own right. The aperture is the reason to place it where it can be walked around rather than pushed into a corner, since the opening only reads from the front. A plain floor serves it, and light from one side makes the gradient legible down the corners. A glass will not stand level on it unless something flat goes down first. Indoors only.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Three things are open. The aperture, from this oval through to a round opening or a squared one, and it can be closed entirely for a solid block. The gradient, which runs pale mauve into amber as here, or deeper purple into amber, or a single flat tone through the whole body. And the leg section, squared as here or rounded, which softens the object considerably. You give the plan and the height. It is solid and heavier than its size suggests; it ships in one crate with the top face protected and one person can move it though two should place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Cast seating with a hole through its heart is found in our art furniture; the mauve-to-amber pour is one of our resin sculptures, and the pierced mass belongs to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
