Pressed Flower Top Black Bowl Base Resin Low Table (80cm) by Giant Sculptures, clear resin top with pressed daisies and foliage on a matt black bowl-shaped base, plain white background.
Pressed Flower Top Black Bowl Base Resin Low Table - 80cm $6,48000
Description

This low table's clear resin top holds real pressed flowers and foliage, daisies, small chrysanthemums, yellow sprays, red and pink buds and ferns, laid dense over a dark ground, and it sits on a matt black hemispherical base that narrows to a short round foot, like a bowl turned the right way up.

Real Flowers Held Under a Clear Top

Each stem is placed by hand first and the resin brought over in successive passes, building the density gradually so that nothing shifts while the material can still move. The dark ground is what makes the flowers read: against clear resin the pale petals would disappear and the greens would go flat. The top face is taken to a full gloss and the base is left matt, so the two are read as separate surfaces. The base is faced flat where the top beds on it, across the whole ring rather than at points.

Set in the middle of a seating group, its round top shows the flowers equally to every chair. The flowers are the reason to have it, so it is best lit from overhead: light coming across the top flattens them into the dark ground. The base stands well in, so it can be walked round without a foot to catch.

The Flowers, the Bowl Base, and Delivery

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The pressed botanical work sets the pace here. Ordering settles three things. The mix of flowers is chosen at order, the ground is offered in another dark tone, and the base can be run in a metal finish instead of matt black. Top diameter and base height are each specified. Ordered as a group, the flowers are laid to the same density in each top, though no two tops hold the same stems. The packing is designed round the top face and the black base rim; allow two people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pressed flowers crowded under a clear top belong with our organic sculptures; on its black bowl base the table joins our art furniture, the top itself our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
