The Polished Gold Drakko Sculpture stands 60cm tall — a whimsical, upright dragon figure finished in a brilliant polished gold that draws on the Chinese symbolism of the dragon as the ultimate emblem of wealth, power, and good fortune. The character is captured in a playful pose with curling horns, pointed ears, and a wide open mouth caught mid-roar, balancing fierce mythological energy with the cartoon-soft proportions of a contemporary collectible. At 60cm, this is a substantial shelf, console, or plinth piece — bold enough to anchor a vignette, scaled to slot into a curated interior.
This giant Drakko sculpture is cast in premium resin from a single master mould, capturing the fine character details — the ridged horns, the inner-mouth definition, the pointed ear tips, the rounded belly and tail curl — with the precision the form demands. After casting, the surface is hand-finished, primed, and sealed before the polished gold finish is applied across the full figure to produce the deep, mirror-bright reflective surface that gives the piece its presence. The gold catches ambient light from every angle, shifting from warm honey tones under soft lamplight to a clean architectural gleam under daylight. Edges around the horns, claws, and teeth are finished by hand to preserve the crisp graphic character of the original Drakko design — a contemporary pop-art take on the classical Chinese dragon.
A gold pop art sculpture at this scale is designed to anchor a styled interior. It works beautifully on a console in an entrance hall, a plinth in a collector's living room, a credenza in a hospitality lobby, or a feature shelf in a luxury retail or showroom space. The polished gold sits naturally alongside black lacquer, deep emerald, ivory marble, walnut timber, and clean white walls. Indoor display only.
Every Drakko sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce. Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops supporting production at scale.
Customisation is offered. Alternative sizes, alternative colourways (chrome silver, rose gold, gloss black, candy red, electroplated finishes), matte or metallic options, or a fully bespoke dragon character designed from a brief are all possible. Contact us before ordering.
