Three castings stand together as one country, all of them clear and polished with rose and dark green ink worked into them, the principal one rising at the back. They sit on a round plate of dark green cast resin, placed by hand, and what is delivered is three castings and the plate. The ink gathers in the hollows and thins over the ridges on every one of them.
A group of separate objects only reads as one country when the pieces are designed against one another. The profile of each answers the next: a slope running down on the first is picked up by the rise on the one beside it, and the gaps between them read as passes rather than as spaces left over. Three mountains chosen on their own and set out on a tray afterwards never do that, whatever is spent on them, and the difference is immediately visible even to someone who could not say what it is.
The plate is the footprint, not the mountains, so it needs a surface with real room on it. It is meant to be walked around: the passes between the castings open and close as the angle changes, which is lost entirely against a wall. An island, a low central table or a broad sideboard reached from both sides is the right place. Overhead light is best, since it puts the shadow of each casting onto the plate and the arrangement then reads as a map.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The arrangement is fixed to your own plan before packing, either ink is used on its own, and the plate is cast at other sizes. The same design is built at three quarters of this scale as its own product, and the two are sometimes ordered together for a long surface. A frosted body is offered and holds the ink at the surface instead of through the depth, which is the one change that alters the idea rather than the object. It ships as a single crate, the three boxed apart and the plate laid underneath, and two people handle it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Three rose-inked rocks arranged as one country belong with our organic sculptures; clear castings standing on a dark green plate gather it into our resin sculptures, and a country laid out to be circled and looked down on suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
