Pink Ink Steep Peak Mountain Group Resin Sculpture, 40cm, with rose and green veining on a textured black round base, shown on a plain white background.
Pink Ink Steep Peak Mountain Group Resin Sculpture - 40cm $2,09200
Description

Three castings with a polished colourless body, rose ink running through all of them and a deep green behind it. The tallest rises in a long slope from the left and drops steeply on its right side to a summit set over its own foot, with two further castings set against it to the right and the front. They stand on a round black plate with a textured top, and the three castings come with the plate.

One Peak Carries the Whole Group

A group with one dominant piece has to be balanced by arrangement rather than by modelling. The tall casting climbs from the left and falls steeply away on its right, so on its own it reads as a peak with a weather side and a sheltered one; the two others are set on the steep side, close enough to be read with it and far enough apart not to crowd it. The eye then reads the three as one range seen from a pass. Set them out symmetrically and the steep face loses its answer, which is why the arrangement is fixed at the studio and marked before packing.

The piece is meant to be walked around, since the steep face and the long slope read differently from every side. A low central table, an island or a console reached from both ends all work; a niche does not. Overhead light is what keeps the three separations visible, and a lamp low and to one side will bring the ink up through the bodies. Allow the whole of the plate and keep the surface around it uncluttered.

The Balance, the Ink, and Delivery

Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. Where the pieces sit is settled with the order, the tall peak is drawn steeper or eased to an even slope, and one ink is used without the other. The plate is cast at another size, and a version with the tall peak on its own is offered for a narrow shelf. A frosted body is also made and reads as stone rather than as water-worn rock, which is a real change of subject and not of finish. Everything goes in one crate, the three bedded apart with the plate underneath, and one person can lift the parts but two should handle the crate. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A steep rose-inked peak flanked by two low castings belongs with our organic sculptures; rose and green drawn through polished bodies put the group among our resin sculptures, and a piece walked round on its black plate suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
