Pink Ink Mountain Group on Green Plate Resin Sculpture - 35cm
Pink Ink Mountain Group on Green Plate Resin Sculpture - 35cm $2,09200
Description

A country of three pieces, each body colourless and polished, with rose ink and a darker green drawn into it, the principal casting rising at the back. The plate they stand on is round and cast in dark green resin, and the delivery is three castings and the plate. It is the same design as the full-size group, built at three quarters of that scale.

A Group Scaled Down Loses Its Gaps First

Scaling a group of objects down is not the same as scaling one object down, and the reason is the spaces between them. Reduce everything by a quarter and the castings lose a quarter of their height, which is barely noticed, while the passes between them lose a quarter of their width, which is noticed immediately: the arrangement closes up and reads as a single lumpy mass. So the plate here is not taken down as far as the castings are. It keeps proportionally more room on it, the pieces stand slightly further apart than a true scaling would put them, and the group reads at this size the way the full-size one reads at its own.

The plate is a real object on a shelf but small enough for a side table or a desk. It rewards being seen from above and from close to, since the passes between the castings are what the piece is about and they are narrow at this size. Somewhere it is passed and glanced into rather than viewed across a room. A light more or less overhead puts each casting's shadow on the plate and keeps the separations legible.

The Scale, the Ink, and Delivery

Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Where each piece stands is agreed before it leaves, one ink is dropped or the other, and the plate is made at other sizes or left off entirely. The same country is built at full size as its own product, and the two are ordered together often enough to be worth mentioning: set on one surface they read as the same landscape at two distances. Frosted bodies are also made, and the ink then sits on the face of the object instead of in its depth. It leaves in a single case, the pieces wrapped individually and the plate laid beneath them, and one person can carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

One inked country made at two scales belongs with our organic sculptures; rose ink and darker green in polished bodies count it among our resin sculptures, and a small group glanced into from above suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
