Description

Peonies are carved in relief across a granite screen that stands on its own moulded plinth, with four characters cut into the field beside them. It is freestanding, not a wall panel, so it can divide a space rather than close one.

Stone Garden Ornaments Carried on Their Own Plinth

Granite is far harder than marble and takes a broader, flatter cut, which is why the peonies here are massed rather than finely undercut. The stone is a coarse speckled grey with visible mineral flecking and a matte sawn finish that will not gloss up in rain. Two lotus-petal courses step the plinth out to a wide bed.

A freestanding screen is a divider, not a wall panel, so it belongs where it separates one part of a garden from another: across a courtyard, at the end of a lawn, beside a pool, along a terrace or as a backdrop to a seating area. It is carved on the front face, so site it against planting or a hedge rather than where both sides are seen.

Siting a Freestanding Screen in a Garden

Nine weeks, because granite takes roughly twice as long to work as marble and the peonies are undercut rather than incised. The screen height and width are both open, and the plinth is included; it can be given a deeper moulding or cut as a plain block. The carved openings can be closed if you want a solid screen. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Just over a tonne, crated upright on a pallet, and it needs mechanical handling onto a level prepared pad.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
