Pale Blue Rising Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 66cm
Pale Blue Rising Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 66cm $1,82000
Description

A ribbon rising in three turns, cast in a pale, icy sky blue. Each turn swings out over the one below it before the ribbon flares into an open lip at the crown. The colour is so light that the spiral looks almost like ice, deepening only slightly where the turns lie over one another. It comes with a black marble block.

A Spiral the Colour of Ice

Pale blue keeps this spiral delicate. With so little tint, the resin reads as glass, and the highlights running along each turn do much of the drawing, while the slightly deeper blue at the overlaps marks where one turn passes another. Against the black marble below, the pale ribbon looks bright and cool, like frost on a dark branch. Every face of the ribbon is polished, so the light slides round the turns without a break. It is a calm, cool piece.

Stand it on a desk or a shelf in a bedroom, a study or a bathroom. It suits soft grey, white and blue rooms and sits quietly beside books, silver and glass. A dark wall behind it makes the pale turns stand out; daylight at one side lights them like ice. It reads softly from across a room.

A Stronger Blue, and the Delivery

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The blue can be strengthened or taken towards aqua, and the spiral can be given a fourth turn or a wider lip. The block can be white instead of black. Green and aqua-on-white versions of the spiral are sold separately. It comes in one crate on its block, ready to stand, and it is a one-person lift taken from the base. No fixing is needed. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pale sky blue turned into a rising spiral, as here, is among our resin sculptures; the three climbing turns belong with our organic sculptures, and quiet pieces for a bedroom are in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
