Pale Blue Leaping Spray Resin Sculpture - 120cm, a wave-like jet of pale ice-blue resin on a round white base, set against a plain light background.
Pale Blue Leaping Spray Resin Sculpture - 120cm $3,10300
Description

A slim jet of spray rises in pale ice-blue resin from a small round white base. At the foot the water forms a cup of long, upright fingers, many of them forked at the tips, and one side of the cup sweeps up in a broad curve and folds over into a ring of loops. From the centre of the cup a slender jet climbs to meet that ring, and above it two thin arms of spray leap on, twisting as they rise and throwing off small droplets near the top.

A Jet of Spray Leaping From a Cup of Water

A splash like this is a moment of upward force, and the piece is organised to show where the force goes. Low down it is crowded and broken, a ring of uneven fingers standing up as though the surface were tearing apart; in the middle it gathers, the wall of the cup curling over to meet the jet; and only at the top does it let go, in two slender strands that twist apart and shed drops. The pale blue is kept light throughout, closer to ice than to sea, so the spray looks cold and bright and its thin upper strands read almost clear.

At 120cm on its base it is slim enough to fit where a broad piece would not: a corner of a hall, beside a doorway, at the end of a sideboard or on a console. Height is its asset, so give it a position where it is seen against a plain, pale wall, which lets the blue show. Daylight from a window beside it makes the droplets at the top glitter. It reads as a single upward line from the door and rewards a close look at the break.

Tint Strength, the Base and Delivery

Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The blue can be kept pale, deepened towards sea blue, or replaced with clear, green or amber, and the round base can be made in black or in marble. A deeper blue gives the jet more body and makes the droplets read as spray against it. It travels upright in a narrow crate with the top of the jet braced, and it is lifted out by its base, never by the arms of the jet. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A pale ice-blue jet rising from a cup of upright fingers is part of our resin sculptures, our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
