An upright slab, the whole face worked into radiating feathered ridges and opened right through in four irregular places, one of them small. A pale blue holds the whole slab, deepest along the combed ridges and palest where the face is flat. A shallow black base is included beneath it, which is all a slab this flat needs.
A slab is a difficult format to make interesting, since it has one face worth looking at and no silhouette to fall back on. The openings are not spaced evenly and are not the same size, so the slab reads as something eroded rather than as something drilled, which is the entire difference between the two. Ridges combed right across the face give the body an edge to catch light on wherever you stand, which a flat surface cannot do. The ridges are combed into the face and polished over, so the texture lies inside the material and not on top of it.
A hall, a landing or against a long wall, standing on the floor. A dark ground shows the openings; against a pale wall they close up and the slab reads solid. Light raking across the face draws every ridge; light head on gives you a blank slab. The openings carry from across a room and the combing is entirely a near matter.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. More openings are worked or fewer, the blue is deepened, and a deeper block is cut. Cut more openings and the ridges are drawn coarser, because there is less face left to carry them. One box with the base laid beneath it, and the slab is set down upright only when it is beside the wall it is going against. Two people. It is wide and flat, and it travels badly at any angle other than vertical. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A pale blue slab combed into radiating ridges leads to our organic sculptures; the pierced casting sits among our resin sculptures, and a long wall suits it, as it does much of our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
