Pale Aqua Bowl Seat Cast Resin Lounge Chair (64cm) with a wide bowl seat on four thick posts, clear resin with faint blue-green edges, on a plain white background.
Pale Aqua Bowl Seat Cast Resin Lounge Chair - 64cm $4,59200
Description

Pale aqua resin, tinted so lightly that it reads almost as clear glass, forms this lounge chair. Its seat is a wide bowl, rolled outward at the rim, and it stands on four stout posts that run up into it without a seam. The only real colour is a faint blue-green that collects along the edges: the lip of the bowl, the corners of each leg, and the heads of the legs, which show faintly under the seat.

Almost Clear, With Aqua Along Every Edge

A tint this light does not darken the legs the way a strong colour would. It gathers instead at the edges, so a thin aqua line traces the rim and the corners of every leg while the faces between them stay nearly colourless. Under the seat the leg heads appear as pale, ghostly shapes, and the room behind the chair remains readable through almost every part of it. The lip rolls outward smoothly and the resin is polished throughout, which keeps the whole chair bright and glass-like.

With so little colour it suits rooms where a heavy chair would crowd the space: a pale living room, a bedroom with white walls, a glazed corner by a window. It looks well with white marble, bleached oak and chrome. The seat sits low and deep, so a low side table belongs beside it. Indoor use only.

Tint, Seat Depth and the Journey Home

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The aqua can be strengthened until the legs hold a clear sea colour, or left out for a fully colourless casting. A frosted surface is possible too, which turns the chair a soft milky white. A deeper bowl reclines the seat further, its legs widened a little to support it. It is packed whole in its own crate, and it needs two people to bring it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Pieces you can sit in fill our art furniture; for more soft, unbroken outlines see our organic sculptures, and for other near-clear pours our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
