Orange Gold Fleck Crescent Cradle Resin Sculpture (36cm) by Giant Sculptures, honey-amber crescent with orange tips and gold flecks on a white marble base, plain light background.
Orange Gold Fleck Crescent Cradle Resin Sculpture - 36cm $2,23700
Description

A crescent cradle lifted on a white marble block. From a low belly it rises to two points held well apart, one standing higher than the other. Honey amber holds through most of the wall and deepens to orange at both tips, while the inner face at the lower end turns a milky white. Fine gold-toned flakes run right through the body, in the honey and the white alike, so the whole cradle sparkles as you move around it. White marble comes with it, cut square and just inside the footprint.

Gold-Toned Sparkle Through Honey and Milky White

Fine gold-toned flakes in a two-tone casting change with the tone they are seen against. In the honey they read as a warm shimmer that deepens the amber; across the milky white of the inner face they show as separate bright points. Here they run right through the body, in both tones alike, so the cradle carries one even sparkle from tip to tip while the colour beneath it changes. The crescent form helps: the amber gathers at both tips and along the outer wall, and the white is kept to the inner face at the lower end, so the two tones are read along the curve rather than across it.

A bedside table or a bookshelf will take it, and it is meant to be looked at from very close. Put something bright behind it, or a lamp to one side, and the flakes show at their brightest. A dark surface beneath separates the white end from the stone, which is otherwise the same tone. Walk past it and the sparkle catches in new points at every step, which is why it rewards a place close by rather than across a room.

The Flecks, the Stone and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The flakes can be set more thinly through the body or left out, the honey is cooled toward cream, and the block is cut in black marble. Other widths are made on this crescent, the cradle drawn up to the same two points at each. With the honey taken to cream, the flakes become the only warm thing in the piece and read as a fine gold-toned dust over pale resin. Cradle and block are crated together, bedded under the belly with both points free of the packing, and the cradle is lifted from beneath the belly, never by either point. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Honey amber sparkling with gold-toned flakes from tip to tip places this crescent cradle with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
