Orange Doubling Flame Resin Sculpture - 164cm
Orange Doubling Flame Resin Sculpture - 164cm $3,30700
Description

The flame doubles back on itself above the block, the two passes never touching between the foot and the tip. Amber over the whole flame, heaviest at the waist and thinning to almost nothing where the tip turns. A small black block and a tall white marble plinth both come with it.

A Plinth Drawn as Part of the Piece

The gap between the two passes is the one measurement the whole design turns on: too close and they close into a single mass, too far and the piece stops reading as one flame. It is drawn as wide as the outline will take, and the plinth is then cut to put that gap at about a standing eye. The stone under it is part of the colour rather than a way of raising the flame: a pale marble returns light up into the tinted resin and a dark one would take it away. The flame is polished, the block honed, and the plinth left exactly as cut.

Floor work for an entrance, and the plinth sets the height rather than the flame. Set it against something dark. Amber in front of a bright wall stops looking lit. One source from the front and above; the plinth does the rest from underneath. The flame reads from the other end of a hall and the doubling arrives at about two paces.

Another Height of Plinth, and Two Crates on a Pallet

Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. Ask us for the plinth at another height, for the flame at another size against it, or for a stone of a different colour beneath. Change the plinth and the flame is redrawn to suit it, because the two are arranged to meet a standing eye. Two crates on one pallet, the plinth and the flame apart, joined on site. Four people and a trolley, and the plinth goes down first. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An amber flame doubling back above its block belongs to our organic sculptures; the amber through the flame joins our resin sculptures, and the white marble beneath lifts it to entrance height among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
