Orange Dished Top Cast Resin Side Table - 47cm with a translucent dished bowl top on a tapering cylindrical base, shown against a plain light background.
Orange Dished Top Cast Resin Side Table - 47cm $3,91500
Description

This side table has a dished round top with a thick rim rolled at its edge, in a translucent orange carried right through the material, standing on a solid tapering cylinder of the same orange. A plain collar marks where the two meet. Because the colour is in the body rather than on it, a cut edge shows the same orange as a face.

Orange Carried Through the Whole Body

The orange is carried in the material rather than applied to it, so the colour deepens wherever the section does and the rolled rim reads darkest of all. The dish is spun to an even wall and the rim turned over while the material is still workable. The column tapers towards the floor and is cast solid, which puts the greatest section under the greatest load, and bringing that depth up without a trapped bubble is the slow part. The foot is faced flat and the collar left plain, the only unworked surface on the piece.

At 47cm it sits close to chair-arm height, and the dish holds a glass and a book without either sliding. Orange this strong carries across a room rather than only close to, and it warms whatever pale thing is set on it. The column is solid, so the table is heavy for its size and stays where it is put.

The Dish, the Collar, and Other Colours

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The schedule follows the rolled lip. Three specifications are yours. The orange can be taken to any tint, the rim can be left square rather than rolled, and the column can be run hollow where weight matters. Neither the dish span nor the column reach is fixed. Both pieces of a pair share the depth of the dish when they are ordered together. The dish rim and the orange column are packed clear of the crate wall, and it travels upright on the foot. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An orange dish rolled at the rim on a solid column gives our art furniture a side table; the plain round forms suit our geometric sculptures, the orange body our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
