Orange & White Furled Form Resin Sculpture, 65cm, twisting frosted resin form on a black marble base, set against a plain white background.
Orange & White Furled Form Resin Sculpture - 65cm $3,10500
Description

Frosted resin furled into a rising form, set on a base of black marble. Orange fills the first turns of the form and climbs well up it before it gives way to a white crown, so the piece reads warm and weighty at its foot. The marble is a plain slab with squared edges, supplied with the form and the only dark element in it.

Orange Held Deep Into a Furled Form

Orange is carried far into this form. It fills the first furls completely, thins only as the turns approach the top, and leaves the white to a narrow crown, so the warmth of the piece sits at its foot and the whole of it looks planted on its stone. Each turn stands clear of the next, and because no two are drawn alike the eye keeps finding a new face as it climbs. The frost gives every surface a soft, even sheen, and the edges of each fold are left sharp, the only lines on the piece that catch a bright highlight.

Put it on a low cabinet or a console where it is met face on, with a pale wall behind so the orange foot has something to glow against. Front light suits it: the white crown takes the light and the orange beneath holds it. At a distance the piece reads as a single warm, furled shape, and its separate turns only show once you are close.

The Orange, the Furls, and the Crate

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The orange can be carried higher or stopped sooner, which moves the white crown up or down the form, and the marble beneath can be exchanged for another stone. More furls can be drawn in before casting, in which case the base widens to carry them. The same furled form is also made in blue and white, sold as a separate piece. Form and base are packed together in one crate, and lifting it out is a job for two, each taking an end of the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Warm-coloured castings of this kind continue through our resin sculptures, while more furled and flowing shapes appear in our organic sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
