Orange & Cream Folded Blade Resin Sculpture - 120cm
Orange & Cream Folded Blade Resin Sculpture - 120cm $2,36200
Description

A narrow blade turning around itself from foot to crown, the fold opening slightly at the top and a single sharp line running the whole length of it. Amber and cream together, with a single sharp amber line running the length of the fold. A round black marble foot is included.

A Blade That Folds Around Its Own Axis

The line along the fold is the piece: it is where two faces meet at their thinnest, and the amber gathers there because there is least material for the light to cross. Ease that edge and the line goes. A blade folding around itself puts a different thickness in the eye's path at every height, which is why one tint gives the whole range of tone the piece carries. The surface is polished the whole way up, and the fold's edge is worked flush so that it never reads as a seam.

A hall table or a narrow console suits it: the footprint is no bigger than a saucer. It wants a dark wall behind it, or the cream through the body reads as glare instead of as colour. Lit from behind, the amber line becomes the brightest thing on it; lit from in front, it disappears. It reads as a narrow column from the door, and the fold only declares itself from a pace away.

Another Pitch, and a Foot Packed Below

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. The pitch of the fold can be altered, the amber can be swapped, and the foot can be cut square. Change the pitch of the fold and the height follows, since the blade holds its section instead of being stretched to meet a number. One tall case, the foot packed below the blade, and nothing to screw or glue. Two people to take it out of the case, and one can move it after that. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A narrow blade folding round itself leads to our organic sculptures; the amber and cream casting joins our resin sculptures, and a narrow hall table suits it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
