Orange & Clear Thrown Splash Resin Sculpture, 116cm, amber-to-clear wave form with cut-through openings on a black base, set against a plain white background.
Orange & Clear Thrown Splash Resin Sculpture - 116cm $3,91400
Description

The splash rises from a narrow foot and throws out to one side near the crown, with the edges left broken. Amber holds the foot and lets go a little further up with every turn, so the thrown edges carry almost no colour. Openings are worked right through the body as it rises. A small black block comes with it.

Everything Thrown to One Side and Held There

Throwing the whole of the mass to one side means the foot has to do work that is not visible from the front, and it is drawn deeper front to back than it looks: the piece is much narrower seen from the side than it is face on, and that is where the material has gone. Water thrown to one side and caught is only readable in a body that clears as it rises: the foot holds the colour and the throw is left with almost none, so the movement reads upward. Polished over the whole splash, with the thrown edges left as cast.

A hall console suits it, with the throw facing into the room. A dark wall behind it, or the colourless crown disappears into whatever is behind it. Light from one side at the foot; the amber carries it up and the crown returns almost nothing. The throw is the shape that carries; the amber is a near fact.

A Longer Throw, Another Amber, and One Tall Crate

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. We will draw the throw further out, exchange the amber, or cut the block to another plan. How far the splash is thrown is specified at the order, and the foot is widened to answer whatever it reaches. How far it throws is settled before casting. It ships upright in one case, block and splash together. Two people: one steadies the throw while the other takes the block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A splash flung to one side as it rises belongs to our organic sculptures; the amber letting go toward the crown joins our resin sculptures, and a hall with the throw turned to the room places it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
