Orange & Clear Graded Flame Resin Sculpture, 190cm, a tall flame-shaped curve fading from amber to clear, resting in a round black dished base on a plain white background.
Orange & Clear Graded Flame Resin Sculpture - 190cm $10,40000
Description

A tall curve rising from a closed inner curl and hooking back over it, the tip reaching well past the foot it stands on. Amber at the foot running up through orange and clearing almost to nothing at the tip. A broad, round dished base comes with it, and the inner curl sits down in its hollow.

A Curve Balanced on Its Own Curl

A flame drawn this way is balanced against its own inner curl, and the further the tip reaches the more that curl has to carry. Balance here is settled at the bottom rather than the top: the curl is drawn fuller than its own shape needs, and the dished base is cut wide enough to answer what the hook reaches. A body this deep takes the colour in stages rather than evenly, so the amber gathers where the curve doubles back and thins wherever the section does. Polished over the whole flame, with the inner curl worked to the finish the outer face carries.

It suits a hall or the turn of a stair, set where the hook at the top is above the eye. Set it against something pale. An amber body on a dark ground loses the whole of its graduation. One source, low and to the side, fills the curve from beneath and leaves the tip clear. The eye runs the curve from the inner curl up to the tip, and the graduation is what keeps it moving.

A Tighter Hook, and a Base That Travels With It

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. If you would rather a tighter hook, it is drawn that way from the start, and a different run of colour can be put through the body. Draw the hook further over and the inner curl fills out to answer it, since a reach like that is balanced rather than carried. The dished base is packed beneath the flame in one tall case, and the two go together without tools. Three people for the lift and a fourth to steady the base while it is bedded. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A flame hooked back over its own curl leads to our organic sculptures; the amber-to-clear body belongs to our resin sculptures, and a stairwell with room overhead suits it, as it suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
