Ocean Blue Open Wave Ring Resin Sculpture, 56cm, with cobalt base rising to pale blue tips on a black rectangular stand against a plain white background.
Ocean Blue Open Wave Ring Resin Sculpture - 56cm $1,75500
Description

Cobalt fills the bottom of this wave like deep water under a cliff, and the blue lightens as it climbs, through a teal wash low on the left to a pale sky blue in the upper reaches. One arm rises on the left and bends across the summit into an upright spout; the other rises on the right and curls across to a slender point that halts beneath the spout, so the ring is never closed. Some blue reaches every part of it, down to the slim tip of the spout.

Cobalt Trough Lifting Into Sky Blue

Here the whole wave is tinted, with no clear resin anywhere, and the interest lies in how one colour changes. Where the water is broadest, in the trough, the blue is dense and nearly navy; on the climb it opens out, and for a stretch on the left-hand arm it turns towards teal before settling into the pale, almost icy blue that runs through both arms and the spout. Every rippled facet catches a highlight, so the paler blue glitters while the cobalt below stays deep and still. The faces are glossy throughout and the edges softly rounded.

Rising 56cm from its marble block, it holds attention on a broad shelf or a console, and from a chair across the room you look straight into the gap beneath its spout. A white wall shows the run from cobalt to sky most clearly, and sun from a nearby window lifts the pale blue of the arms. In a room furnished in blues and whites it ties the whole scheme together. Indoor use only.

Cobalt to Sky, the Unclosed Ring and Delivery

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. One ring and its black marble block make up the order, sold individually. Made to commission, the colour can be pushed darker towards navy or kept light all the way through, the teal on the left arm strengthened or left out, and the opening where the right-hand arm falls short of the spout made wider or narrower; another stone can replace the marble. It is packed in a padded crate, its spout and the end of each arm wrapped separately, and the ring is lowered onto its block once that is standing level. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Deep cobalt water lightening to sky blue as it curls round into an unclosed ring belongs to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
