The Monumental Wild Boar Head Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 200cm, rendered as a close-frontal portrait of an alert, open-mouthed boar with tusks raised and snout lifted in a posture of raw, territorial force. The scale alone commands attention; the detail demands it.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this monumental bronze boar head achieves a surface of extraordinary depth and resolution. Every strand of coarse fur across the jowl and crown is individually articulated, pressed into the wax model by hand before casting. The finished piece carries a dark brown antique bronze patina across the main body, contrasted by polished golden-bronze highlights burnished onto the snout, tusks, and facial prominences. The result is a two-tone surface that draws the eye from the raw, textured darkness of the skull through to the gleaming, almost organic luminosity of the curved tusks and raised muzzle. The open mouth reveals clearly defined teeth set within a deeply worked interior, and the overall weight of 500kg conveys the solidity and permanence of a museum-quality installation.
This sculpture is suited to grand residential interiors, corporate atria, hunting lodges, estate entrance halls, and large-scale outdoor settings including formal courtyards and landscaped grounds. Its dark bronze palette pairs naturally with stone, aged timber, dark metal architectural details, and any space that favours a strong, unapologetic material presence. Rated for indoor and outdoor placement, the patina is stable against the elements and will develop a distinguished aged character over time in exterior conditions.
We offer a full range of patina finishes beyond the antique dark brown shown, including verde green, light natural bronze, and blackened iron. The sculpture can be produced at reduced scales if the 200cm monumental format exceeds your spatial requirements. Bespoke mounting solutions, including custom timber plinths or stone bases, are available on request. Contact us before ordering to discuss any customisation, and to confirm the most suitable delivery and installation approach given the 500kg weight of this piece.
