Monumental Traditional Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture in polished gold finish with blue ushnisha, seated in padmasana on a lotus throne, against a plain background.
Monumental Traditional Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture - 250cm $39,18100
Description

The Monumental Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, presenting a serene, symmetrical figure in padmasana on an ornate multi-tiered lotus throne. Every surface carries a highly polished gold-toned finish, the gilded reflectivity drawing the eye from the carved lotus petal reliefs of the base up to the distinguished blue-enamelled ushnisha at the crown.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to Gallery Standard

This piece is produced using the lost-wax casting process, which allows each plane of the robe folds, the precise gesture of the hands, and the relief petals of the lotus throne to be rendered with complete fidelity. The result is a solid cast bronze sculpture of exceptional structural integrity, hand-finished to achieve the mirror-polished gold tone visible across the figure and pedestal. Painted details, including the blue enamelled hair knots and the warmth of the red lips, are applied by hand at the finishing stage, lending the piece a character that no mechanical process could replicate.

At 250cm, this sculpture demands a setting equal to its scale. Outdoors, it reads powerfully against landscaped grounds, formal gardens, temple precincts, and institutional or hospitality spaces where a focal monument is required. Indoors, it suits double-height entrance halls, reception atria, and private galleries. The gold-toned finish pairs with warm stone, polished marble, dark hardwood, and richly layered interiors; it also holds its presence with equal confidence against open sky and natural treeline.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer alternative patina finishes including traditional dark brown, verde antique, and natural weathered bronze, as well as adjustments to overall scale for site-specific installations. For clients inspired by the work of monumental figurative sculptors in the Southeast and East Asian tradition, we can develop fully bespoke compositions. Please contact us before ordering to discuss requirements, site dimensions, or installation logistics for a piece of this scale and weight.
