The Monumental Modern Interlocking Ribbon Form Bronze Sculpture stands 180cm tall, presenting two sinuous bronze forms that curl and twist around each other in a continuous sweeping motion, their dark satin surfaces drawing the eye along an unbroken, flowing silhouette.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which preserves every nuance of the original modelled curves and the precise negative space at the sculpture's centre. The surface is hand-finished to a smooth matte-to-satin black patina, absorbing and gently reflecting ambient light to emphasise the sculptural rhythm of the interlocking forms. The result is a large-scale abstract bronze sculpture that reads differently at every angle, shifting from open and airy to dense and monumental depending on your vantage point.
At this scale and weight, the piece commands any setting where space and sight-lines are generous. Outside, it performs equally well against an open lawn, a coastal terrace, a formal garden axis, or a contemporary civic forecourt. Indoors, it suits double-height entrance halls, corporate atria, or gallery-style living spaces where the dark patina can anchor a neutral or light-stone palette. The pale rectangular plinth on which it rests provides a clean visual base, separating the bronze from the ground plane without interruption.
The dark black patina shown is our standard finish for this form, but we are happy to discuss alternative patinas: warm mid-brown, verdigris, or a polished dark bronze are all achievable on request. The sculpture can also be produced at an adjusted scale to suit a specific site or architectural context. If you would like to commission a variation inspired by the work of a particular sculptor working in the abstract ribbon tradition, contact us before ordering so we can advise on feasibility and lead time.
