The Monumental Heraldic Winged Lion Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 450cm, presenting a rearing, roaring lion with broad eagle-like wings swept dramatically wide, one front paw thrust forward in an arrested charge. The body twists with coiled energy, the serpentine tail curling behind, and every surface carries the weight of meticulous hand-finishing.
This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that preserves the finest surface detail from the original modelled form. The dark antique bronze patina moves from rich warm brown in the recesses of the mane and feathered wings to a near-black depth across the broader planes, giving the piece the visual authority of a centuries-old civic monument. The mane, individual feathers, and paw pads are each rendered with the kind of tactile precision only hand-finishing can deliver. The low polished granite plinth grounds the composition, its minimal rectangular profile placing full emphasis on the dynamism of the figure above.
At 450cm, this is a work scaled for open plazas, grand entrance courts, private estate gateways, and monumental interior atria. The heraldic winged lion bronze sculpture carries naturally against stone, marble, and rendered masonry; it also holds its own in contemporary settings where dark metal tones anchor architectural schemes of glass and steel. Fully rated for outdoor installation, it is equally at home in a double-height interior space.
The patina can be adjusted to a warm golden bronze, a classical verdigris, or a polished lacquered finish. The sculpture can be produced at reduced scales for estate forecourts or interior settings with different height constraints. For clients seeking a specific heraldic arrangement, mirrored pairs for flanking gates, or a commission inspired by the work of a particular sculptor, we are able to advise before production begins. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
