The Monumental Contemporary Seated Frog Fountain Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, presenting a large seated frog with mouth thrown wide open, water cascading in a curtain fall down the chest and into a shallow circular pool below. The oversized glossy black spherical eyes and gold-toned accent detailing around the mouth rim and eye surrounds give the piece an expressive, almost theatrical presence at public or private scale.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze frog fountain is hand-finished to achieve its distinctive aged surface. Heavy green verdigris sweeps across the body, accumulating naturally in the recesses, while warm golden-bronze highlights emerge on the mouth rim, eye surrounds, and lower legs. The result is the kind of tonal depth that only hand-applied patination delivers. The monumental bronze water feature weighs 1,200kg and is engineered to accommodate active fountain plumbing, with water flowing continuously from the open mouth in a curtain-cascade effect into the pool at the base.
Given its scale and integral fountain basin, this sculpture is designed for outdoor installation: grand entrance courts, public squares, hotel forecourts, walled gardens, and large estate grounds. The verdigris and gold palette works naturally alongside stone paving, dark basalt, and mature planting schemes. Installation will require groundworks to accommodate the recirculating pump and water supply; we recommend consulting a landscape contractor prior to committing a site.
We offer full customisation on patina finish, from natural aged verdigris through to polished dark bronze or warm brown wax. Scale variants are available for smaller courtyard or residential installations. If you have a specific site footprint or a commission inspired by the work of a particular artist in mind, contact us before ordering so we can scope the project accurately.
