The Monumental Contemporary Pear Fruit Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 220cm, presenting the familiar form of a pear at a scale that commands complete architectural authority. The rounded body tapers cleanly to a short offset stem, and the proportions carry a quiet confidence that transforms a recognisable subject into a work of serious sculptural intent.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which preserves every subtlety of the original model through the full bronze pour. The body carries a deep dark charcoal-grey patina that reads almost black in low light and softens to a warm anthracite in direct sun. The stem receives a lighter, more metallic grey treatment, creating a deliberate tonal contrast that separates form from mass without breaking the minimalist silhouette. The result is a large abstract bronze sculpture that reads as both rigorous and approachable, a rare balance in monumental work.
At 220cm and 800kg, this sculpture occupies space with genuine physical presence. It suits wide commercial plazas, corporate entrance courts, landscaped hotel grounds, or any interior volume with sufficient ceiling height and structural floor loading. The dark patina pairs cleanly with polished concrete, pale limestone, and dark basalt paving, and holds its character in both sheltered indoor galleries and fully exposed outdoor settings. No separate plinth is required; the sculpture rests directly on a flat surface and is self-stable at ground level.
The patina can be adjusted on request: options include warm brown, verdigris green, natural weathering bronze, or a polished raw finish. Scale can be reduced for interior or courtyard settings. We also accept fully bespoke commissions for related abstract fruit forms or site-specific organic sculpture, inspired by the work of contemporary monumental sculptors working in oversized botanical and still-life traditions.
