Monumental Contemporary Leaping Dolphin Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures in mirror-polished gold low-poly facets, arched on a dark granite plinth.
Monumental Contemporary Leaping Dolphin Bronze Sculpture - 450cm $184,42000
Description

The Monumental Contemporary Leaping Dolphin Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 450cm, its entire form rendered in low-poly geometric faceting that catches and fractures light across every polished gold plane. The body arcs through a dynamic S-curve, tail curling back to earth while the nose drives skyward, freezing a single explosive moment of momentum in permanent cast bronze.

Cast Bronze, Mirror-Polished Gold Finish

This piece is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, building up the complex faceted geometry panel by panel before hand-finishing each surface to the mirror-polished gold-toned finish seen here. The low-poly treatment is not a surface application but is integral to the form itself, meaning every reflective face is a structural element of the casting. At 3,200kg, the bronze mass is substantial enough to weather decades of outdoor exposure without movement or fatigue. The self-supporting arched tail forms the secondary structural contact point, distributing load cleanly across the dark granite-effect square plinth.

The gold mirror finish suits plaza-scale architecture, resort lobbies, waterfront promenades, and contemporary civic spaces where large-scale monumental bronze sculpture is called upon to anchor an environment. The warm gold tone reads against both pale stone and dark cladding without visual conflict. Rated fully for exterior installation, the piece is equally at home in a double-height atrium, hotel reception, or covered commercial concourse.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

The gold mirror finish shown is the standard specification, but we can produce this dolphin in a dark oxidised bronze, a warm natural patina, or a custom colour finish to suit a specific architectural scheme. Scale adjustments are available on commission. If you are specifying this piece for a resort, developer, or public installation project, contact us before ordering so we can align production to your site programme and provide full technical drawings for structural sign-off.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
