The Monumental Contemporary Cupped Hand Bronze Sculpture stands 150cm tall, presenting an oversized open palm in a gesture of offering or quiet supplication. The fingers curl loosely inward, the palm tilts upward, and the sheer scale transforms a familiar human form into something singular and still.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which captures every subtle contour of the curling fingers and the soft depression of the cupped palm. The surface carries a deep warm brown patina that develops with exposure, and the visible weathering streaks across the bronze are a natural consequence of outdoor installation, not a flaw. That earned character is part of what makes large-scale cast bronze sculpture irreplaceable as a long-term public or private commission.
At 150cm and 450kg, this is a ground-level installation piece designed to anchor a space entirely. It suits a central plaza setting, a formal garden courtyard, a corporate forecourt, or a grand interior atrium where the floor is its only plinth. The warm bronze tones work against stone, slate, pale concrete, and raw timber. Indoors, the piece reads equally well under natural or directed gallery lighting.
Patina options include the warm brown shown, a cooler verde green, a darkened near-black finish, or a polished raw bronze. Scale can be adjusted for specific site requirements. If your project calls for a bespoke commission, please contact us before ordering so we can advise on structural anchoring, base integration, and installation logistics for a piece of this weight. The design can also be configured as an upright form on an integral pedestal, or produced at a reduced scale for interior placement.
