Rising eight metres from its stone outcrop base, the Monumental Contemporary Bird and Tree Bronze Sculpture is a commanding public-art commission cast in patinated bronze. A gnarled, heavily textured tree trunk ascends with convincing naturalism before branching outward into an open canopy structure through which sky and light pass freely. Across those branches, fifteen to twenty stylised birds are caught mid-flight in angular, origami-influenced geometric forms, each wing and body plane rendered with sharp precision. The contrast between the organic, bark-furrowed trunk and the crisp, semi-abstract birds gives the composition its visual tension. At 800cm tall and 600kg, this is architecture-grade sculpture.
A piece at this scale is suited to public plazas, town squares, corporate forecourts, estate gardens of significant acreage, and large-scale landscape commissions. Installation requires groundwork and structural engineering consultation, both of which we can support as part of the commission process. The existing configuration mounts to a natural rock or stone outcrop base; a formal engineered plinth can be designed to specification.
The patina can be adjusted to a cooler dark brown, a classic verdigris green, or a polished unlacquered finish. Scale variations are available: the composition can be produced at reduced heights for estate or private-garden settings where 800cm is not required. Entirely bespoke commissions, including altered canopy profiles, bird counts, or integration of water features, are welcome. Please contact us before ordering so we can discuss your site, timeline, and any structural or customisation requirements in detail.
Explore related works in our bronze sculptures collection, our full range of large bronze sculptures, and our curated bronze animal sculptures.
