The Monumental Classical Intertwined Mermaids Bronze Fountain stands 350cm tall and commands immediate presence with its paired female figures rising symmetrically from an ornate pedestal, their scaled tails curling together at the base to form a fluid, heart-like form.
This large bronze fountain sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which captures every intricate detail: the long flowing hair of each mermaid figure, the precise scale texture running across both fish tails, and the scrolling acanthus leaf and wave relief of the column-form pedestal. The surface carries a layered mixed patina bronze finish, with warm brown tones across the upper bodies and hair transitioning naturally into green-grey oxidation on the tails and base. This dual-tone weathering is not a defect but a mark of authentic bronze chemistry, deepening in character over time when placed outdoors.
At 350cm and 750kg, this piece is designed for formal garden settings where scale and gravitas are required: reflecting pools, courtyard centrepieces, estate terraces, and grand entrance gardens. The raised lotus leaf design serves as the spout architecture for the integrated fountain plumbing, directing water in balanced bilateral flow. The dark-patinated pedestal anchors the composition visually and structurally, lending a classical architectural quality suited to stone paving, clipped hedgerow gardens, and formal symmetrical layouts.
We offer full customisation on patina finish, including warmer golden-brown tones, darker museum-grade black patina, or a fully weathered verde antique. Scale adjustments are available, and entirely bespoke commissions, such as repositioned figures, alternative foliage elements, or pedestal modifications inspired by the work of classical sculptors, can be discussed directly with our studio team. Contact us before ordering to confirm site requirements, plumbing specification, and finish preferences.
