A boat with a hull of hammered metal electroplated to a bright mirror gold, pointed at both ends, its sides opened in ragged windows. Inside it stands a cargo of teal acrylic slats, glowing through the windows against the gold. It is raised on two slim posts above a long black marble base.
Plating the hull in mirror gold changes the mood of the design entirely: a hull opened in worn windows would usually look old, and this one looks precious, the hammered surface breaking the gold into countless small reflections. The teal slats inside are the only other colour, and gold and teal are a classic pairing, warm against cool. The windows are cut irregular so they read as openings worn into the hull rather than designed ones, and the posts lift the boat clear of the marble so its whole underside catches the light.
A desk, a cabinet top, a sideboard or a console suits it, in a living room, a study or a reception, seen from the side. Its gold reflects the room, so a calm setting shows it best, with the marble base giving it a dark footing. A lamp nearby makes the hull glitter and the teal glow. It sits well among books, stone and dark wood.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The hull can be electroplated in a silver, rose-gold or black chrome finish instead of the gold, and the cargo can be clear, green, amber or blue. A silver hull with a clear cargo reads cool and modern; gold with teal stays warm. It is packed in a padded crate with the hull wrapped against marks, and the boat is lifted from beneath the hull, never by the slats, the rail or either point. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A mirror-gold hull hammered all over and opened onto a teal cargo, raised on slim posts above its marble, keeps company with our acrylic sculptures, our indoor sculptures and our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
