The Midnight Black Electroplated Drakko Figure stands 48cm tall — a sculpted dragon character finished in deep midnight-black electroplate with gleaming gold accents across the horns, claws, and detailing. The pose is unmistakably Drakko: head raised, mouth open mid-roar to reveal sharp pointed teeth, sharp claws extended, swept horns crowning the silhouette. The contrast of the lacquer-deep black body against polished gold detailing gives the piece a jewellery-grade presence at desktop and shelf scale, sitting confidently in modern collector interiors and pop-art display spaces alike.
This designer Drakko sculpture is cast in premium resin from a finely detailed master, capturing every scale, fang, and claw edge with collector-grade sharpness. Once the body is cast, cleaned, and prepared, the figure is electroplated — a genuine metallic plating process, not painted — producing the deep mirror-black surface and the warm, lustrous gold accent work that defines the piece. Electroplating gives the sculpture a true metallic depth: light reads off the surface the way it reads off polished metal, with the kind of reflective clarity painted finishes simply cannot produce. The horns, claws, teeth, and selected sculpted details are masked and plated in gold, providing a high-contrast accent that draws the eye across the form. Every figure is hand-finished and quality-checked before it leaves the studio.
At 48cm, the midnight black Drakko figure is sized for serious display — a console table centrepiece, a gallery shelf anchor, an executive desk feature, a collector's cabinet hero, or a styled plinth in a contemporary lounge. The black-and-gold palette pairs effortlessly with marble surfaces, dark walnut, brass fittings, smoked glass, and monochrome interiors. Indoor display only.
Every Drakko figure is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not hold stock. Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops supporting production at scale.
Customisation is fully available. Alternative sizes, different electroplated colourways (chrome, gold, rose gold, midnight blue, emerald), matte or gloss finishes, or fully bespoke character commissions designed from a brief or reference can all be tailored to your specification. Contact us before ordering to discuss.
