Lime Green Cut Sphere on Black Marble Resin Sculpture - 51cm
Lime Green Cut Sphere on Black Marble Resin Sculpture - 51cm $3,64700
Description

A ball of deep green resin is cut into a pair of winding hollows, its rims so dark they read almost black and the hollows opening out to a bright, sunlit lime. A short dark stem carries it above an oblong of black marble, supplied with it, so the piece is made for a sideboard or a console rather than for the floor.

Lime Hollows Above a Black Marble Block

The resin is graded by its depth, darkest where the shell is thickest, so the two hollows read as lit spaces inside a dark ball: the upper scoop catches light from above and glows lime, while the one that turns down keeps the dark of the rims. Met almost level from across a room, the ball shows both of its hollows at once, which is the view the cut is drawn for. The stem carries it clear of the block, and the black marble is cut plain and square so that the colour stays with the ball and the stone reads as ground beneath it.

At 51cm it sits well on a console, a hall table or a long sideboard, seen a little under eye level by anyone passing and up close by anyone who stops. Give it a clear stretch of surface on either side so the turn of the scoops reads, and let light fall across it from a window to one side so the lime hollows glow.

The Lime, the Black Block and Delivery

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. Emerald, teal or a paler lime are all possible, the stone can be another marble, and the base is not fixed in shape: a round foot, a square one or an outline of your own is made to order. The ball can be frosted for a softer, more even glow. It travels in one crate, the ball in a shaped cradle and the marble wrapped separately, and the ball is lifted out by its outer edge and never by the stem. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A dark ball cut open to its bright interior belongs with our organic sculptures; dark green clearing to lime leads to our resin sculptures, and green that glows beside a window joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
