The Life-Size Wild Boar Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 220cm, rendered in full naturalistic detail with head lowered and thrust forward in a confrontational stance that commands any space it occupies. This is a presence sculpture: bristled mane raised along the spine, weight planted evenly across four powerful legs, the whole form radiating restrained aggression and wild authority.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, every square centimetre of this large bronze boar sculpture has been worked by hand. The hide is rendered with fine tooling throughout, coarse fur texture building across the flanks and shoulders in layers of controlled detail. The patina is a deep, heavy green verdigris overall, the kind of surface character that takes years to develop naturally outdoors but is achieved here through controlled chemical finishing in the studio. Against this aged green ground, the curved upward-sweeping tusks and facial details retain warm golden-brown bronze tones, a deliberate contrast that draws the eye to the animal's most defining features. The handcrafted bronze wildlife statue sits on a large flat rectangular plinth in polished dark grey granite with chamfered edges, a base that grounds the composition without competing with the sculpture itself.
At this scale, the boar reads powerfully in formal outdoor settings: estate entrances, landscaped gardens, courtyard approaches, or as an anchor piece in a grand interior hall. The verdigris patina integrates naturally with stone, slate, aged brick, and dark timber. Indoors, it holds its own against high ceilings and stone floors. The piece carries dual placement suitability and is fully rated for permanent outdoor installation.
Patina options include dark brown, natural bronze, statuary black, and custom aged finishes. Scale can be adjusted for specific site requirements, and the granite plinth profile can be modified to suit installation conditions. This piece draws on a long tradition of monumental wildlife bronze and can be commissioned as a site-specific installation. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
