Life-Size Traditional Man and Boy Fishing Bronze Sculpture stands 230cm tall and captures a quiet, unhurried moment between generations: a tall adult male strides forward, fishing rod in hand, the small boy at his side matching his pace with an upward glance full of animated conversation.
This two-figure composition is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which faithfully preserves every surface detail across both figures. The casual period clothing rewards close inspection: shirt pockets, belt hardware, and the boy's rolled-up trousers and sturdy boots are all rendered with the precision that only hand-finishing allows. A warm mid-brown bronze patina sits consistently across both figures, lending the piece a settled, timeless quality rather than a high-gloss decorative finish.
At 230cm and 280kg, this is a genuinely monumental work. It reads powerfully in large formal gardens, estate courtyards, hotel lobbies, and covered civic spaces. The warm tonal patina holds its character against stone, gravel, mature planting, and pale architectural masonry alike. Fully suited to indoor and outdoor placement, the cast bronze construction withstands weather without structural compromise, deepening in character over time with minimal maintenance.
Patina can be adjusted to suit your setting, from a deeper oxidised brown to a lighter classical finish. Scale variants are available on request, and the composition can be adapted as a bespoke commission. If you have a specific site in mind or wish to discuss a scale or finish variation, contact us before ordering so we can advise properly. The piece can also be produced inspired by the work of regional figurative sculptors working in the narrative-realist tradition, should you wish to reference a particular artistic sensibility.
