The Life-Size Classical Robed Saint Bronze Statue stands at an imposing 300cm, presenting a full-length figure in a monk's habit: hood drawn back, robes falling in deep, natural folds, right hand raised with two fingers extended in blessing, left arm cradling a book against the chest. The face is fully resolved, with a close beard, deliberate expression, and the quiet authority of a figure made for permanent, considered installation.
This statue is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which preserves every carved detail from the original model into the final solid cast bronze. The surface carries a warm brown patina with subtler tonal shifts in the robe folds, where shadow naturally gathers. Hand-finishing is applied after casting to refine transitions, settle the patina, and ensure the bronze figurative sculpture reads coherently at monumental scale. The result is a surface that ages with integrity rather than deteriorating.
At 300cm, this piece is designed for large-format settings: the forecourt of a cathedral, chapel, or ecclesiastical building; the entrance of a hospital or institution; a formal garden with sightlines that demand vertical punctuation. The warm bronze tone sits comfortably against pale stone cladding, brick, and mature planting. The included stone plinth provides the correct visual elevation and requires no additional base engineering beyond a firm, level substrate.
Patina options include natural warm brown, verde green, dark oxidised black, and gilded highlights on selected surface areas such as the book cover or facial features. The figure can be produced at a reduced scale to suit interior installation, or at an increased scale for truly monumental civic contexts. For those with a specific devotional subject in mind, our studio can develop a bespoke commission inspired by the work of Hubertus von Pilgrim or similar traditions in figurative religious bronze.
