Large Traditional Striding Bull Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, side view with lowered head, raised front leg, and curled tail on a rocky bronze base.
Large Traditional Striding Bull Bronze Sculpture (Rocky Terrain Base) - 120cm $21,82500
Description

The Large Traditional Striding Bull Bronze Sculpture, standing 120cm tall and weighing 80kg, is a commanding study in raw forward momentum. The bull's head is lowered, one front leg raised mid-stride, and its tail curled upward in a single fluid compositional arc that communicates barely contained power.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This handcrafted bronze bull sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting process, a method that captures every nuance of the modelled surface before a single drop of metal is poured. The result here is exceptional: the flanks carry a warm mid-brown patina with subtle tonal variation that draws the eye across the musculature, deepening into shadow at the shoulder blades and ribs, and lifting to a golden-brown at the curved horn tips. The integral naturalistic rocky terrain base, cast as one continuous bronze form, anchors the piece with geological weight while reinforcing the impression of a bull crossing open ground. Each traditionally cast bronze animal sculpture of this scale is hand-chased and patinated by our finishing team, ensuring no two pieces are entirely identical.

At 120cm in height, this sculpture commands any setting given sufficient floor space and ceiling clearance. Indoors, it reads powerfully in entrance halls, double-height reception spaces, boardrooms, and large living areas with stone, timber, or neutral plaster finishes. The warm bronze palette sits comfortably against aged oak, raw concrete, and dark marble. Outdoors, the lost-wax bronze weathers gracefully, developing a natural verdigris over time if left unsealed, or retaining its original character with a periodic wax treatment. A courtyard, garden terrace, or estate entrance would place it to full effect.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard warm mid-brown shown, including dark antique brown, classic verdigris, and polished warm gold. Scale variations are available, from a smaller interior version to a monumental outdoor commission. If you are interested in a custom scale, a specific patina, or a personalised base inscription, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm specification and timeline. The modelling style of this piece is consistent with the great tradition of European animal sculpture; if you have a specific reference or would like something inspired by the work of a particular artist in this tradition, we are happy to discuss a bespoke brief.

Delivery to Your Address

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

30-Day Returns

The metal of antiquity

Solid Cast Bronze

Every one of our cast bronze sculptures is poured in solid bronze, the alloy sculptors have prized for more than five thousand years. It is heavier, warmer and far more enduring than any resin imitation, giving each bronze statue a depth and presence that only real metal can.

Poured by hand

Foundry Cast

Each piece is cast in a working foundry, where molten bronze is poured at over a thousand degrees, then cooled, broken out and worked by hand. It is a craft refined over centuries, and it is the reason every bronze sculpture carries the mark of the people who made it.

Made to your measure

Fully Bespoke

Have something specific in mind? We can scale the size, choose the patina and take on full commissions, casting a one-off bronze sculpture to your exact brief. Tell us what you picture, and our artists will make it.

A finish that lives

Hand-Patinated

Colour is brought to bronze by hand. Our finishers work each patina with heat and patience, so no two pieces are ever quite the same. Left outdoors, that patina keeps evolving, softening from bright metal into the deep greens and browns that collectors prize.

Built to outlast us all

Weatherproof for Life

Bronze has survived three thousand years of history, and ours is made to do the same. It shrugs off rain, frost and sun, which is exactly what makes bronze garden statues such a sound investment. Every piece is backed by our lifetime guarantee.

Two large, black bear-shaped sculptures stand indoors near a window with a view of a yard. One sculpture is in the foreground with its back to the viewer, and the other faces forward, creating a mirrored effect. Trees and a chair are visible outside.
A shiny metallic bear sculpture stands on the corner of a modern buildings patio, mirrored by another similar black figure in the foreground. The area features minimalistic architecture with large glass windows.
