The Large Traditional Coiling East Asian Dragon Bronze Fountain stands 120cm tall, its serpentine body wrapping along the rim of a wide stone basin, head lowered toward the water surface with a live spout issuing from its open mouth. Every element of the composition is in motion: clawed feet grip the basin edge, dorsal spines ridge the length of the spine, and the tail rises in a sweeping upward curve behind the body.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, which captures every detail of the overlapping scale work, curling whiskers, and pronounced facial anatomy with exceptional fidelity. The surface carries a heavily weathered verdigris patina, built up in layers with deeper tonal values at the face and underside to replicate the character of naturally aged bronze. The basin itself is formed in stone, integrating the dragon into a fully functional garden water fountain that operates as both sculpture and working water feature.
At 120cm and 650kg, this is a commanding garden installation suited to formal courtyards, large ornamental gardens, koi pond surrounds, and landscaped terraces. The traditional East Asian aesthetic pairs naturally with stone paving, gravel gardens, bamboo planting, and water-reflective settings. Given its weight and integrated plumbing, this piece is intended for permanent outdoor placement in a prepared garden environment.
We can adjust the patina finish across a range of options including natural verdigris, mid-tone brown, dark patinated bronze, or a polished highlight finish on scales and facial features. Scale modifications and fully bespoke commissions are available; if you are working to a specific pond or courtyard dimension, contact us before ordering so we can advise on structural preparation and plumbing integration. This piece may be described as inspired by the work of traditional East Asian bronze craftsmen with centuries of dragon iconography behind them.
