The Large Traditional Charging Wild Boar Bronze Sculpture presents a pair of life-size wild boar at 120cm, captured in the raw tension of a charge: one low and lunging with tusks bared and a foreleg raised, the other standing alert and forward-facing in a composed threat display.
Each boar in this two-piece set is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, a method that allows the craftsman to transfer every coarse bristle, every ridge of shoulder muscle, and the curl of the tail into durable metal. The surface carries a dark patinated finish with black-green oxidation that deepens the texture and gives the coat a tactile, almost lifelike roughness. No two patinas are identical; the natural variation across the pair reinforces the sense that these are living animals caught mid-motion rather than decorative objects.
At 320kg across the set, these sculptures carry the weight and permanence that a composition of this scale demands. The pair is designed specifically for outdoor placement: a sweeping lawn, a formal garden axis, a courtyard entrance, or flanking a driveway gate. The dark patina reads well against both pale stone and dense planting, holding its presence across seasons and in all weathers without treatment.
We can apply a range of patina treatments, from a warm mid-brown antique bronze to a deeper statuary black finish. Scale changes to the individual boars or the overall composition are available as bespoke commissions. If you have a specific site requirement or would like a single boar rather than the full pair, contact us before ordering and we will scope the commission accordingly.
