The Large Contemporary Wild Boar Bronze Sculpture, standing 150cm, presents a powerfully observed animal study: a boar seated upright, front legs extended, head raised and mouth open to reveal tusks and teeth in a posture of raw, unguarded vitality.
Produced using the traditional lost-wax casting process, this large bronze wild boar sculpture carries a warm brown patina across its surface, graduating to polished highlights on the snout and hooves where the metal has taken on the characteristic touch-wear of a well-handled piece. The surface transitions from smooth planes along the body to lightly textured passages across the haunches and face, capturing the coarse-haired physicality of the animal with quiet precision. The open mouth, visible tusk detail, and finely rendered hoof structure reflect a level of craft that places this firmly in the category of gallery-quality bronze animal sculpture.
At 150cm, this sculpture commands attention in large interior spaces: reception halls, private libraries, and double-height entrance lobbies. Outdoors, it suits stone-paved courtyards, formal garden terraces, estate driveways, and civic plaza settings equally well. The warm bronze tones read well against pale limestone, dark granite, and aged brick alike, and the piece sits naturally on its rectangular stone plinth with terrazzo aggregate texture and light grey colouring.
We offer a full range of patina finishes including dark verde, classic warm brown, light ochre, and blackened bronze. The scale can be adjusted to suit a specific space, and the plinth specification can be modified on request. This composition, drawn from a tradition of expressive naturalistic animal sculpture, can also be produced as a paired installation. Contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
